Add a site from another Google account

CrawlCoach shows the sites that your Google account can see in Search Console. To add a client's site, or a site on another Google account, the site's owner adds you in Search Console.

Which access works

  • Owner: works.
  • Full: works. Agencies usually ask for this one.
  • Restricted: doesn't work. CrawlCoach sends your sitemaps to Google, and Restricted users can't do that.

Step 1: The site's owner adds you in Search Console

The site's owner does these steps:

  1. Open Search Console and pick the site.
  2. Click Settings, and then click Users and permissions.
  3. Click Add user.
  4. Enter the email of the Google account that you connected to CrawlCoach. You can find it on the Choose a site page.
  5. In Permission, select Full.
  6. Click Add.

Step 2: Add the site in CrawlCoach

  1. Open Choose a site in CrawlCoach. The new site is in the list.
  2. Click Check this site.

Keep one Google account

Each CrawlCoach account connects one Google account. Don't sign in to CrawlCoach with a different Google account. That makes a new, empty CrawlCoach account. Add your connected Google account to the other sites instead, as in step 1.
